Bobi Wine: Uganda's Ugandan MP
Ugandan musician Bobi Wine has been beaten by security forces and can not speak or walk, her lawyers say.
The opposition MP has been filed before a military court in the northern city of Gulu, charged with two illegal possession of arms and one of the charges against armed forces, but not as insurgent as previously reported.
He was arrested after a car on President Museveni's caravan attacked on Monday in the city of Arua, following a slightly controversial riot.
The driver of the Wine was later shot and killed, in what the parliament said was an attempt to kill him.
His affiliate Kassiano Wadri, who won the Arua election, was initially stricken with treason with 31 others.
The government has not issued a statement on suspicion that Bobi was attacked while in custody.
The 36-year-old MP has long been criticizing the Ugandan government.
"When our leaders have been misleading and persecutors." When freedom of expression is targeted and oppressed, our position becomes controversial. "
These are words in the song called Situka, which has the same meaning as Zinduka, who sang Wine following the end of the general elections in 2016.
He used the song to force the Ugandan guards to fight corruption and oppression in their country.
In the meantime many artists in the former nation supported President Yoweri Museveni to be re-elected but Wine refused to enter the stream.
That's where people suspected that maybe Wine wanted to get involved in politics.

Who is Bobi Wine ?
The Afrobeats style star entered the musical arts in the 2000s, but does not describe his talent as being educated and entertaining. One of its original laptops, it is about body hygiene.
His official name Wine, is Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentam, was elected as a parliamentary candidate after his stand as an independent candidate last year in Kyadondo east, central Uganda.
He won the candidate from the National Resistance Movement (NRM) and the opposition party's Democratic Change (FDC) party.
After announcing the winner, he promised to focus more on the integration of civilians.
"My first thing I want to do is to achieve a reconciliation between Eastern Kyadondo leaders ... I want politics to bring us together ... how music is doing."

Political analyst Nicholas Sengoba says the defeat of Arua's defeat by a veteran supporter was "the death or survival of Museveni".
"His party will decide whether this is now a whirlwind." Bobi Wine has now defeated Museveni and opposition leader Kizza Besigye four times in 'a small election.
"The boss has embarked on a campaign for his 'human power', and he urges to push and arrange to become a tourist," he adds.
Political analyst Robert Kirunda says the influence of Wines is due to the existence of 'leadership gap' in Uganda.
"There are many young Ugandan people who do not need to know the historical war that has led the NRM leadership, or the stubborn opposition of the majority." Many want employment and feel that the economy does not support them. "
Kirunda says Wine 'sneaks down'. "He can push people over, but he still has no strength as Besigye in opposition".
